Desertasi:DETERMINAN PEMBENTUKAN GOOD CORPORATE GOVERNANCE BERBASIS INTERNAL CONTROL SYARIAH PADA RUMAH SAKIT ANDI MAKKASAU KOTA PAREPARE

The main objectives of this study were threefolds: 1) The influences of
organizational commitment, organizational culture, and ownership structure on
sharia internal control, 2) The influences of organizational commitment,
organizational culture, and ownership structure on good corporate governance,
and 3) The influences of organizational commitment, organizational culture and
ownership structure on good corporate governance through sharia internal control.
The approach used in this quantitative study was a causality approach. The
population of this study were all employees of Andi Makkasau Hospital of
Parepare consisting of 626 respondents. The sampling technique used in this
research was proportional random sampling in which a total sample of 244
respondents was selected. The research instrument used was questionnaires
distributed directly to all the respondents. The hypothesis testing of this study was
conducted by using SEM-PLS (Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least
Square). The results indicated that the organizational commitment, the
organizational culture, and the ownership structure have significant and positive
influences on sharia internal control. In addition, the organizational commitment
and the organizational culture have significant and positive influences on good
corporate governance, while the ownership structure has insignificant and
negative influences on good corporate governance. Furthermore, the
organizational commitment, the organizational culture, and the ownership
structure have significant and positive influences on good corporate governance
through sharia internal control. This research implies that sharia internal control
has contributed in forming the sharia-based of good corporate governance.
Therefore, the results of this study could be used as a management guideline for
managing the company according to sharia guidelines so that the business could
be categorized as a sharia business.
