DISERTASI: PEMANFAATAN LINGKUNGAN ALAM SEBAGAI SUMBER BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK DALAM MATA PELAJARAN FISIKA PADA MADRASAH ALIYAH DI MANADO

This study investigated the use of natural environment as students’
learning source in teaching physics. It was conducted on Madrasah Aliyah
Negeri Model manado. The purposes of the this study are : (1) to describe the
use of natural environment as students’ learning source at Madrasah Aliyah
Negeri Manado (2) to apply the process of learning physics using natural
environment as students’ learning source (3) to find, to analyze and to
conclude students’ level of understanding in learning physics using natural
environment at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Manado.
In discussing the problem of the study, the writer used research
methodology, multidiscipliner approach, they are pedagogical approach,
juridicial approach, sociological approach, theological-normative approach
and managerial approach. This research is quantitaive in nature. The data was
collected using observation, questionnaire, interview, documenting, referential
investigation. The data collected then be analyzed continously by reducing
data, presenting data and drawing conclusion.
The analyzed data showed that natural environment can be used as
students’ learning source in learning physics at Madrasah Aliyah. The
application of the physics learning process using natural environment is
successful and students’ level of understanding is significantly increased. To
reach the purposes mentioned above, the writer suggested the headmaster and
teacher staff (Physics Teacher) to plan the learning process well and
systematically in accordance to the subject matter needed, so natural
environment can be used as students’ learning source in teaching physics.
The significance of developing learning process using natural
environment as students’ learning source is to make teacher and students as
well realized that learning physics is not only teaching the knowledge of
physics itself but it also becomes scientific source to understand how great
Allah swt., is.
