Tesis: PEMBINAAN KEAGAMAAN PESERTA DIDIK MELALUI KEGIATAN EKSTRAKURIKULER DI MADRASAH IBTIDAIYYAH ASADIYAH BANUA BARU KECAMATAN WONOMULYO KABUPATEN POLMAN
The study was aimed at describing the students'religious development
strategies through extracurricular activities at Madrasa h Ibtidaiyya h As’adiya h
Banua Baru, describing the impact of the stude nts’ religio us development through
extracurricular activities, and exploring the factors influencing the students' religious
development through extracurricular activities.
The study was qualitative research using the phenomenological approach.
The data sources were the head of the foundation, the principal, the homeroom
teachers, the extracurricular coaches, the studen ts’ guardians, and the students as the
primary data sources; and documents as the secondary ones. Observation, interview,
and documentation were utilized in collecting the data, which then processed and
analyzed through three stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion
drawing. The data validity was tested by observation extension, persistence increase,
and triangulation.
The results of the study revealed that the stu dents’ religious development
through extracurricular activities at Madrasa h Ibtidaiyyah As’adiya h Banua Baru
was in the forms of scout activities, dhuha prayer, tahfidzulQur’an, andkhita>bah
(preaching). The strategies carried out in developing the religiousity through
extracurricular activities were integrating each activity into the Islamic educational
values, applying thefun learning, supervising each activity, coordinating well with
the stu dents’ guardians, and providing reward and punishment. The students’
religious development at Madrasah Ibtidaiyya h As’adiyah Banua Baru had an
impact on the madrasah development and theimprovement of the students' religious
awareness. The supporting factors of the studen ts’ religious development were the
full support of the foundation and the solid cooperation of fellow educators. Whereas
the inadequate sources of funds and infrastructure facilities were factors hindering
the religious development.
The study implications were expected that each educational institution should
implement an effective religious development strategy in each learning activity both
intracuricular and extracurricular in order to realize the students with Islamic
character.
